Anyone can easily make a report by clicking on a location on the map and adding a description. The reporter can optionally add a photo. It is also possible to enter contact details to be kept informed of the report.

Notify

Signalen automatically classifies the incoming notifications using machine learning and puts the notifications in the correct category. The report is then automatically assigned to the correct department and handler.

Handling

We provide hosting in the cloud on servers in the Netherlands. Each municipality will have its own platform that is set up according to the Haven standard of The Association of Netherlands Municipalities (VNG). Signalen will be installed on this platform. We can also set up the environment within the municipality's existing cloud environment.

    • How long does it take to implement Signals?

      In the vast majority of cases, the entire implementation process, from kick-off to go-live, takes less than three months. Would you like an estimate of the implementation time for your municipality? Please contact us at info@delta10.nl.

    • Why do I need support on open source software?

      We notice that municipalities often need a point of contact and that they want guarantees that software functions properly, is available and secure. This works differently with open source software than with closed software. The developers of open source software do not offer any guarantees on the software or any other forms of customer support. In the case of Signals, you cannot turn to the municipality of Amsterdam, the original maker, for management and support. You can contact Delta10 for this.

    • What infrastructure do I need to use Signalen?

      Signalen runs on a platform that is set up according to the Haven standard. We support municipalities in setting up and managing this platform. This can be done both on the municipality's own servers and in the cloud. You can also choose to run Signalen on the Delta10 cloud, so that the municipality does not need its own infrastructure.

    • How was Signalen created?

      Signalen was developed by the Municipality of Amsterdam and published as open source on GitHub. In 2020, a team from The Association of Netherlands Municipalities (VNG), in collaboration with various parties, made the code available for other municipalities. A Delta10 developer was in charge of the technical management of this project.

    • Can Delta10 help us transition from our old system to Signalen?

      Yes, this is part of our standard service. Together we draw up a migration strategy and implement it step by step.

    • How does Delta10 contribute to the further development of Signalen?

      We offer our customers the option of purchasing a development budget with the service. We use this budget in consultation with the customer to realize improvements and new functionalities in Signalen.
